Canned foods are often overlooked as a convenient source of nutrition. You may be surprised to learn that many canned foods are bursting with nutrients and are an easy way to add vitamins and minerals to your diet.

How is this possible?
The answer is because all foods are cooked in the can once it is sealed, which locks in nutrients and also gives cans their long shelf life without the need for preservatives. It’s the canning process itself which is the natural preservative.
