This Sausage & Bean Casserole was created exclusively for Canned Food by Mandy Simmonds of Simply food by Mandy. This dish is so simple to prepare, with just 5 ingredients; yet it delivers a delicious and nutritious family meal which will warm you from the inside out! To increase your 5 a day, add canned spinach just like Mandy has done!
Serves four
Method:
- Sauté the onion until soft, then add the garlic and cook for a few minutes.
- Chop the sausages into 3cm pieces using scissors.
- Cook with the onions for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the beans and the tomatoes.
- Season generously.
- Bring to a simmer. Cover with a lid and simmer on a low heat for 45-60 minutes.
