Theo Michaels, TV Chef, champions canned wild Alaska salmon in new recipe
Celebrated chef and CANbassador™ Theo Michaels launched a new recipe for salmon lasagne to honour Wild Alaska Seafood Month as he joins forces with Canned Food UK and the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute.
This vibrant recipe offers a delicious twist on a family classic, blending wholesome ingredients with the convenience of canned salmon.
The mouth-watering salmon lasagne showcases the incredible flavour and versatility of canned Alaska salmon while celebrating the rich heritage of one of the world’s most sustainable seafood sources.
As an advocate for creative and sustainable cooking, Theo Michaels explains his support for the collaboration:
“Canned Alaska salmon is such a versatile ingredient – it’s always in season, packed with flavour and nutrients, and helps busy families prepare healthy meals with ease. Plus, knowing that the can, once empty, can be recycled again and again makes it a sustainable option that we can all feel good about using.”
Wild Alaska salmon is sustainably caught and canned to retain its superior flavour and nutritional benefits. This initiative highlights both organisations’ commitment to making high-quality, sustainable ingredients accessible to families across the UK.

NHS guidelines suggest that adults should eat at least one portion (around 140g when cooked) of oily fish a week (fish which are high in long-chain omega-3 fatty acids essential for heart health, such as salmon).
